Just Stick Your Neck Out and Tie One On!
HOW TO FOLD
Your tie starts with how you fold your wild rag. Here are three of our favourite ways to start your ties, to ensure your tails lay beautifully when your tie is complete.
THE SQUARE KNOT
The square knot is such a versatile knot! It is a beginner friendly tie option that lets your scarf's beautiful corner details really shine!
THE TRADITIONAL TRIANGLE
We also call this the "Old Fashioned" tie because it has a traditional Americana feel. The Triangle tie can keep you warm on a cold morning, keep the dust out of your face on a hot afternoon, or make a simple outfit stand out on a night on the town!
THE SPANISH KNOT
The Spanish knot is a great one to have in your "tie one on" toolbox. It is elegant, dramatic, and is so much simpler to tie than it looks! This tie works especially well with a twill silk because it holds more structure (aka brings more drama to your neckline!)
THE BOW & HALF BOW
We wear our Fringe Scarves in a bow or a half bow a lot. The details along the scarf boarder makes for an interesting bow. This is also an easy way to dress up a simple outfit or wear your scarf without having long tails to contend with.
THE NECKLACE KNOT
The necklace knot is super fun to play around with, especially on a scarf or bandana with a lot of stand out details. We wear scarves and bandanas all year long, so for the warmer months, this is a great tie that can be loosened up for a more relaxed look.
THE CIRCLE
Expect the unexpected with the circle knot! This tie looks very intricate, but looks can be deceiving! If you can tie a basic square knot, you can tack the circle. The tie looks the best with colourful designs because it brings so much visual appeal to your neckline.
THE WINDSOR
The Windsor tie lets your tails take centre stage, while also giving you the ability to easily adjust where your tie sits. Wear it tight against your neck or loosen it up to show off a necklace as well!
THE SOFT KNOT
The soft knot is a more advanced tie that makes a wild rag with a lot of intricate details really shine.
